Our VIP users—the platform's most valuable segment—didn't have a dedicated physical product that reflected their status. We needed to design and launch an exclusive VIP Card with premium benefits. This wasn't just a digital asset; it was a physical product that represented the brand's elite tier.
02
My task was to lead the visual design of the physical card and the accompanying launch campaign. I had to create a 'prestige' aesthetic that felt superior to the standard card while navigating a complex approval process involving Brand, VIP, Legal, and Security teams, as well as external partners like MasterCard and the physical manufacturers.
03
Stakeholder Management: I managed a long iteration process with constant feedback loops. I had to balance our Brand team's vision with MasterCard’s strict brand guidelines and Legal’s compliance requirements. This required high Resilience and diplomatic communication to find a 'perfect' design that everyone could sign off on.
Technical Precision (Print-Ready): Designing for physical production is a massive challenge. I took Ownership of the technical specs, working closely with the manufacturers to ensure the materials, textures, and security features (like EMV chips and holograms) were perfectly placed. I had to prepare complex print-ready files where a 1mm error would be a high-cost mistake.
VIP Visual Narrative: I chose a 'Hegemonic' and minimalist aesthetic, focusing on premium finishes and a dark, sleek palette to ensure the card felt like a status symbol for our high-volume traders.
